Our Ministries
The ministries of this church are the life blood of this church. You will want to become involved where your spiritual needs can be fulfilled and where you can share what God has done in your life. Whether it is joining in community service or becoming part of the youth group we want for you to find a place to serve and a place to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Make sure you check out the ministry opportunities we have to offer!
Community
Services
Adventist Community Services meets people’s immediate needs through social services such as tutoring and mentoring programs, Youth Volunteer Corps, health screening education and assistance, inner city missions, and disaster response.
Personal
Ministry
Emmanuel’s Personal Ministries Department provides resources and trains church members to unite their efforts with the ministry and church officers in the final proclamation of the gospel of salvation in Christ. The aim of the department is to enlist every member in active soul-winning service for God
Childrens
Ministry
We believe that our children are our future, so here at Emmanuel Community Seventh-day Adventist Church, we follow the Biblical principle of "training a child in the way he should go." We have several ministries that are available for your children to participate in and we invite you to feel free to join any of these!
Women's
Ministry
Women's Ministries upholds women as they develop unique, God-given qualities. Our goal is to equip, empower and encourage women to effectively use their unique abilities to share Jesus' love with the world around them.
Family
Ministry
Family Ministry is a ministry of grace which acknowledges as normative the biblical teachings relating to the family and holds high God’s ideals for family living. At the same time, it brings an understanding of the brokenness experienced by individuals and families in a fallen world.
Health
Ministry
At Emmanuel Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Health Ministries is not only about assisting our members with living healthier, happier lives; it is also about reaching out to the surrounding community. Health ministries is an integral part of the mission of the Adventist Church.
Pathfinders
This club is built on an age-specific curriculum of six levels along with approximately 350 specialised skill development topics covering arts and crafts, aquatics, nature, household arts, recreation, spiritual development, health, and vocational training. These often serve as a launching point for lifetime careers or hobbies.
Youth
Ministry
Our youth ministry provides support and encouragement for young people at what can be a most critical part of their Christian experience. We are tasked with creating an environment where young people are safe to share and explore their faith, ask questions and openly express their challenges.
Sabbath School
Ministry
The Sabbath School Department functions as the primary religious education system of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and it has four primary purposes: study of the Scripture, fellowship, community outreach, and world mission emphasis.
Prayer
Ministry
The prayer ministry exists to invite, train, and offer prayer opportunities for every church member to develop and/or maintain a healthy relationship with God. This is done by way of establishing prayer partnerships, prayer meetings, prayer and fasting sessions, prayer walks, etc.
